I will be reviewing the concern that fashion companies display towards social injustices. After recent events, many people have stirred up the courage to stand up against social injustices and have decided that it was time to take a stand against them. Aside from people of society who had endure these unfair these unjust circumstances for generations (African Americans). Others beside them, have gotten tired of the abuse that they have endured along with racism and other unfair racial injustices. Fashion brands such as NOAH, Nike, Adidas, Gucci, H&M, and, etc. Many fashion brands have decided that it was time to raise their voices against the actions that have severely damaged the community and created a negative image of the American society. Fashion brands are known for pointing their interest toward the white community pertaining to support and recognition as prevalent suppressors of the community. But as of now, they have turned their attention towards those who truly need support. After many years and the many recent deaths of African Americans, many have gathered together to stand up for what is right.
Being that many companies besides black-owned businesses, they have exhibited many racial qualities but they have also decided that it was time to make a change to how they view society and its mixed culture. As a way of way speaking up, fashion companies began making positive ads that promoted racial equality or created a clothing line that was dedicated to the BLM movement and also its cause to the community. They have begun to fully support the black community.
This Nike's Don't do it campaign, that was created to aid African Americans in the quest to end racsim and stereotyping.
This is Adidas diversity campaign where they increased their work population and also donated 120 million to end racism.
With Gucci's new head of diversity and inclusion, they have jumped forward to establish a suitable clothing line but also name that people can depend on.
