I choose to base my memes around the current coronavirus pandemic. During the early stages of the pandemic, toilet paper became an important item where many cities and states across the country issued shelter-in-place orders in response to the coronavirus pandemic, prompting people to purchase large amounts of household goods. Nearly half of all grocery stores in the United State were out of stock of toilet. And also and price of hand sanitizers and other hygienic products rose abnormally. Sales of hand sanitizers in multi-outlet and convenience stores grew by about 58 percent compared to the previous years. These increases were likely triggered by the coronavirus pandemic. Although people were worried about the spread of social media fun challenges were introduced to entertain people while they stayed at home to prevent the rapid spread of the virus. As the U.S joins the global race to stop the spread of the COVID-19 and put the whole country on lockdown. So social media fun activities were introduced to cure boredom. Such activities were the 30days stay-at-home fitness challenge, Broom challenge, and many more.
