intervention 3 completed

My motivation for intervention 3 still continues about police brutality and racism. I feel like there should be more activist people who help with the end of police brutality and racism. at the same time, I feel like racism will not end. every day I see in the news that black people are getting shot for no reason. In the last 3 days, I saw that 2 kids were dead because of police brutality which is so bad because any kid has the mentality to hurt someone so bad so the police can punish them. I think that more people have to start making more activism movements to end that because it is going so bad.

My inspiration for my project also begins with the racism in the Dominican Rep
ublic against Haitian people. I feel bad for Haitians because most of the time they go to the Dominican Republic to have a better life. after the earthquake in Haiti, that country has gone down and they don't have a lot of resources to have a good life. in the Dominican Republic, an activist person called Solange Pierre was trying to end the racism against Haitians and she called an "antihaitianismo" movement. Solange is a part of my motivation for my project.

this is my poster for intervention 3. in this poster I wrote a quote about "Solange Pierre" and it says "all of my life I fight side by side with my mother. being a human rights activist takes dedication and passion. it means that you have to live for others. being a human right defender is a part of who I am, something I have inside of me, it is my identity". I liked writing this because she was a very strong woman who fought a lot about civil rights in the Dominican Republic. at this time the racism has stopped a little bit in my country because we know that Haitians are just trying to have a better life and it is good to give the opportunity to others to be a good citizens in our country.
