Intervention 2 -Krystal M

For my second Intervention I choose to address six issues - LGBTQ rights, Free education and medical care, the peoples voice, the rights of black lives, women rights, and immigration. In America, there are so many issues with our legal system. People of power, over decades, have limited the rights of the very people who make America up. In New Jersey, more specifically I have seen very little regard to the issues Ive stated. Thankfully over the last few years, LGBTQ rights, womans rights and immigrations have taken baby steps in the right direction. However, in general these issues are still held close to my heart as I know New Jersey, and America can do better. In creating this intervention, I didn't think of any order to specifically place the symbols of such issues, organizations and movements, all I knew is that these were the first few that came to mind to really currently matter to me.

I decided to place my intervention, on the mail and package table, across from the mailbox. The table is on the main floor, and there are two entrances that lead to this area. The stairs to go up and down are just in front of and to the right of the table, so it is pretty hard to miss. One thing I admire about my poster is that not everyone has to agree with what matters to me on the poster, since thats what it is about... but there are many topics that someone might agree with and that might call for attention. My poster can call for attention in a few ways - simplicity an relevance. Because my poster doesn't have too much writing, maybe someone who is in a rush to get their package will have a second to look it over. Maybe someone who also agrees with the idea of citizenship for all, might take a look at the other issues I've attempted to address. For any reason that someone takes a look at my work, they might be inspired and intrigued by it. Maybe someone who is not as educated about the LGBTQ flag, might do some research on the rights.
