Guerrilla Girl

Poster/projects

The reason why I have chosen this poster/project is that I feel the same way, As people would push women aside the people being a man, would devalue our words. Then saying that we are too sensitive, and we need to let things go, then to turn around and just say we don't matter. We want our voices heard like they should be, we are humans too, and we deserve the spotlight as much as you do, just because we are of a different sex than you doesn't mean we are just mindless and there just for you to put babies in. And we could do so much better than men because we just think differently than all of you, which is needed.

I chose this project/poster is that it's a big problem for everyone just trying to live with working in an art gallery. They can make Upwards of Hundred of Thousands of dollars but can't pay their workers that sell-off their paintings and clean their art galleries and just let people tour around the place as well, But they all get paid minimal wag because it isn't a demanding job, while the owners can make everything, while giving the minimal.

2.)Quotes

Quote, 1.) "Over the past 10 years, we’ve come to resemble a large, crazy, but caring dysfunctional family. We argue, shout, whine, com plain, change our minds and continually threat en to quit if we don’t get our way. We work the phone lines between meetings to un der stand our differing positions. We rarely vote and proceed by con sen sus most of the time. Some drop out of the group, but even tu al ly most of us come back, after days, months and sometimes years. The Christmas parties and re unions are terrific. We care a lot about each oth er, even if we don’t see things the same way. Everyone has a poster she really hates and a poster she really loves. We agree that we can disagree. Maybe that’s democracy"

I chose this quote to really put in perspective how humans from different sides of opposing can come together to agree that it's ok to be different. With just in the USA population currently being 333,062,165 people that all don't look the same way, but come together sometimes and agree that people will be different, and some wrong things are wrong. People can spread joy no matter what, It could be small or something huge, no matter what there is joy.

"Do women have to be naked to get into the Met. Museum? Less than 5% of the artist in the Modern Art sections are women, But 85% of the nudes are female"

I chose this quote is because this is very true, where women are only valued in the art world if they are naked. Instead of including the likes of women artists, they just said to take off our clothes so that man can paint then hang them up in the museum so other men can look at it, that isn't far. Why do we have to be naked? are we only valued when our clothes are off, instead of being valued by the art we woman can make? which artiest I know are women and they make incredible art, b ut only there bodies matter not our work.
