Standardized testing, such as the SAT's has been a national killer for students for some time now. Many argue that the pros of standardized testing is fair and is only made to measure what student have learned throughout their courses. I believe it negatively impacts students by degrading student's confidence and restricts creativity and confidence and only opens a window of stress in the long run.
A test could never determine ones intelligence, but rather wealth. Some students may have the resources that other don't to hire tutors and other beneficiaries. Secondly, it is one biggest cause of stress to students that can greatly affect their performance on these tests. A negative affect on these test scores can result in rejection from colleges or the inability to walk across the stage to graduate. In conclusion, I believe that there is a better way to measure what student's have learned and It'd be a great way to save money as well.
