I chose to base my memes around recent events in 2021, all of which display a drastic shift in societal power dynamics. These events have each shown a role reversal, where those in great power struggle to take accountability for their actions and in turn pit people against them. I enjoyed using pop culture in making these, as it can communicate complex situations in simplified terms, making them universally understandable.
